Well its official folks. As you can see from the image on the right I'm about to enter the next stage of my life. If you don't recognize the person in the photo that's understandable. To help in the identification process I'll get directly to the point. That is the first photo of my first grand baby. Yep, that's right, in approximately 8 months I will officially enter "grandfather-doom". What did I just say..... Yep, you heard it right... I'm going to be a granddad.Hard to believe, YES. Hard to accept, NO.
I'm a fortunate and blessed person. First with a great deal of luck I managed to marry what turned out to be a super wife, mother and friend. In each role Terrie is much more than I ever imagined. Along the way we have raised three tremendous kids. Each is caring, intelligent and super role models. Two of which are out of the nest and enjoying successful professional careers. Austin, still the "baby chick" in the nest, is spreading his wings and is almost ready to fly. Like his brother and sister, Austin is caring and intelligent (despite the fact that he exhibits all the traits of the standard testosterone laden high school 16 year old). All in all, he has tremendous potential and I'm certain will be as successful as his older brother and sister. On the child rearing front I have to say we have managed quite an accomplishment, particulary in today's world. It is one that I'm proud of.
So sometime in early 2010 Terrie, Ryan, Austin, Ashley and I enter the next stage of our lifes. One that will be filled with a new sense of joy and excitement. One where I'll be called "Popie".
